The Fenix TK15R Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight redefines intelligent illumination with the debut of IRIS X technology. Engineered for high-stakes environments like search and rescue (SAR) and law enforcement, this flashlight features an integrated Lux sensor that automatically manages glare. By sensing light reflected back to the user, the TK15R instantly scales its output from a powerful 2000 lumens for long-range scanning down to 30 lumens for close-up tasks. Whether transitioning from a distant treeline to checking an ID, the system adjusts automatically—eliminating the need to manually cycle through brightness levels.
Need more precise control? Rotate the mechanical toggle switch to Duty mode for manual selection of four brightness levels, including a massive 3200-lumen maximum output with a beam distance of 1608ft (490m). Between missions, the Lockout mode ensures your light stays off until you need it, preventing accidental activation in your holster or bag.
Constructed from A6061-T6 aluminum, with dual inner spring contacts and boasting an IP68 waterproof rating, the TK15R is as rugged as it is smart. IRIS X Technology
A Lux light sensor is integrated within the flashlight's reflector and is aligned with the beam direction. Based on the ambient light read by the sensor, the flashlight automatically adjusts the brightness, reducing glare caused by reflections. As a result, it not only helps protect users' eyes but also improves the effectiveness of search efforts.
- When light is below 5 lux (e.g., in a dark wilderness), the flashlight operates at maximum output (within thermal limits).
- When light reaches 70 lux (e.g., in a large interior), output is reduced to approximately 1500 lumens.
- When light reaches 100 lux (e.g., in a small office), output is reduced to approximately 800 lumens.
- When the illumination distance is less than 10 cm (e.g., for reading), the output is reduced to approximately 30 lumens.
